Impeccable is an open-source design skill framework built for AI-powered coding tools, designed to improve the quality of frontend UI generated by large language models. It extends existing design capabilities (such as Anthropic’s frontend-design skill) by introducing a structured design language and a set of actionable commands that guide AI systems toward more refined, professional-grade interfaces.

At its core, Impeccable provides a “design vocabulary” that enables users to communicate design intent more precisely to AI tools. Instead of vague prompts like “make it better,” users can invoke specific commands such as /polish, /audit, /typeset, or /critique to systematically improve layout, typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy. This reduces common issues found in AI-generated UIs, such as poor spacing, inconsistent styling, or generic visual patterns.

The framework includes a collection of design patterns and anti-patterns that teach AI systems both what to do and what to avoid. These cover key areas such as typography, color usage, layout composition, motion, and accessibility. By embedding this knowledge into the AI workflow, Impeccable helps produce outputs that more closely resemble work from experienced human designers.

Impeccable is tool-agnostic and works across multiple AI development environments, including Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI, and others. It can be installed via a single command or added manually to projects, where it integrates as a reusable skill set. Once installed, it becomes part of the developer’s workflow, enabling iterative design improvements through command-based interactions.

The project also includes a CLI for scanning codebases or URLs to detect UI anti-patterns, making it useful not only for generation but also for auditing and improving existing interfaces.
